I came across a fantastic site that I thought I’d share here…Hope Studios. The last few posts on Christmas decorating are terrific…great craft ideas and absolutely beautiful decorations. The picture of the wreath above is from Jennifer’s post on making an ornament wreath. Enjoy!

Miracle on Fulton St.
If you’re in or around New Orleans, be sure to visit Harrah’s to see their Miracle on Fulton Street display. There are lots of fun events that you can find listed on their website. This year they’re using one of our giant artificial Christmas trees along with our commercial Chrsitmas ornaments:

The display is located on the side of the Harrah’s hotel, not the casino. If you walk down Poydras St. you’ll see the giant Santa at the foot of the entrance:

Of course your Christmas experience wouldn’t be complete without a visit to our shop. So come on down to 1025 Decatur St., see our thousands of Christmas ornaments, and say hello!

Looking for a great Christmas wreath? We’ve just added several new styles to our large selection of artificial Christmas wreaths including decorated, pre-lit, and unlit wreaths. The Christmas Pine (pictured above), which can be found in our decorated Christmas wreaths category, comes both lit and unlit in a 30″ diameter.

The Inspired Room has a thought provoking post on alternative Christmas decorating color themes, with lots of great reading in the comments. While some readers make small changes to the classic red and green Christmas colors (Lori using cherry red and limey green), others are going all out with a pink decorating theme! On the subject of alternative Christmas colors, check out our selection of colored Christmas trees from pink and turquoise to black and red.
I’m sure you’ll also find the four part series on Inexpensive Christmas Decorating Ideas from the Style Estate Blog to be well worth the read. The ideas are both inexpensive and excellent. Enjoy!

Following yesterday’s new addition to our frosted trees, we’ve got a new flocked Christmas tree called the Winter Dream. It’s a great option for anyone looking for a heavily flocked artificial Christmas tree with a narrow profile. The down swept branches make it particularly beautiful!
And here is a great idea for really cute and inexpensive Christmas decorations…Crochet Christmas Ornaments:

You can find plenty more on the Kimbles At Home blog.

Here’s a link to 4 new Christmas decorating trends for 2009, by At Home with Kim Vallee. The themes are very well coordinated with matching colors and styles. While they go beyond most residential displays, you can certainly get ideas from the article and images. For something different, consider mixing our gold decorated Christmas wreaths with gold commercial Christmas ornaments.

Looking for some beautiful, fun, and inexpensive decorating ideas? Christmas ball ornaments are a great place to start. They look great on trees, wreaths, and garlands with no additional work necessary. But with just a little bit of dressing up they’re perfect for do-it-yourself Christmas crafts. One very simple idea is to string ball ornaments together to make ornament garlands. And here’s a great guide from Better Homes & Gardens for adding glitter and patterns.
